Carrie sings with a powerful conviction and a soulful yet sometimes
soft voice. She's been told by several people that she has
an anointing, but humbly realizes
it's only God. Carrie Revel remains faithful and prays when her band
sets out to introduce worship music that God is going to show up and
change lives. To her,
each opportunity is a celebration of fellowship by worship and truth of
the gospel.
"We've got to do our part as the body of Christ to engage and edify
others," she says. "Expressing honesty about our own lives
and letting others know we can relate to real life heartbreak, struggle
and pain helps open the gate to the all knowing, all forgiving and all
loving God. I'm just the average Mom and wife that happens to be able
to do this with God. We just have to keep faith and trust in Him. We
have to surrender our hearts and minds in worship and invite others to
do the same. When we can do that, we can learn the true power of
God."
Carrie and her team feel worship music is an offering to God, embracing
his love and preparing the way for Him. She wants everyone to have a
chance to feel empowered and call on Jesus. When you arrive at a
concert with Carrie you may find yourself engaged by God's presence.
Carrie doesn't want you to come sit
and listen to what she has to say, but wants you to come join in the
songs and even
speak about what God has done for you. She is joined by committed
band mates Tom Preble, Howard Boyer and Chris Glover. All of her band
members are worship
leaders or co-pastors at their own churches. Carrie attends The
Vineyard in Greenwood, Indiana where she leads a women's bible group.
This mother of two and wife of 12 years has completely surrendered her
life to God in order to help others by inviting God where ever she
goes.
REVIEWS
"You know you've been to a good place
when you are better when you leave than when you first went in.
That's what happened last Saturday night at Sacred Grounds Espresso &
Coffee Shop. Carrie Revel opened the door to a spirit-filled evening of
music, fun and fellowship, sharing songs from her CD, "Rain or Shine".
Her easy connection with people and her solid-soul voice revved up the
room."
