Official SIPGA RULES

SIPGA rules state that first and foremost all official USGA rules of golf will be followed during SIPGA play plus or minus the following amendments. We recommend that if you are not familiar with the USGA rules of play, you should purchase the rules and study them before the season begins on April 6th.

Bonus points are designed for those golfers who achieve EXTRAORDINARY feats while playing in the league.

1.)How low can you go???
Par (net handicap) for the course will get you 1 bonus point. Ahh - but wait.... 1 under par will get you 2 bonus points, etc, etc, etc..... So... how low can you go?

  Ties in Scoring
In the case of a tie in one particular round of play, the "playoff" will be decided by the lowest net score among the competitors on the lowest three handicap holes on the scorecard.  In case of a tie to decide the winner of a Major Championship or Green Jacket, an actual playoff will be held on the first hole the night of the championship [if possible], or on the first hole at the course the following week.

  Weekly Pairing/Tee Times/Tardiness
Weekly pairings (for match play or team play events) will be a "blind draw" by the Commissioner, and will be sent to you via email no later than Friday preceding play on Tuesday.  In the case of stroke play, the first 4 to arrive will form the first foursome, the next 4 will be in the second foursome, etc.   If a person is NOT there for the final tee-time, they are considered absent, unless they have contacted the Commissioner and receive an exemption.

  End of Year/Season Totals
At the end of each season when determining the overall winner of the Green Jacket, the official score keepers will drop the TWO lowest point totals from each player's regular play outings or ONE point total from one of the season's majors.  This allows two missed regular play outings or one missed major per season with no penalty.
